Could somebody explain me how the "Seitliches Abdeckblech links and rechts" are fixed into the inside of the front wings

The mounting differs slightly between the 170V (V, Va, Vb, D, Da, Db) and the 170S (S, Sb, S-V, DS, S-D).
Which car do you have?
