M136 Valve adjustment special tool
Verfasst: 14. Sep 2020, 09:04
Hello Gentlemans
At this time I've dismantled my 170S 1950 engine and prepare it
I see the admission valve cylinder number 3 seem not working so good , (the valve still open and not going down , if you push it by hand its ok ..)
So I want to replace all the cylinder 3 staff admission and exhaust ( valve-spring-cone -tappet-ring etc )
On waiting of the parts , I began the adjusting of valves
On the repair manual , they talk about one special tool nammed Wst 1198 = "Holding wedge for the valves tappet for valve adjustment"
The repair manual show it at the tool part as a very simple tool ( plate ) but I don't understand how they use it
With all the 170 owner here, I supposed that someone had that tool or use another one .
Please can someone show me with a picture or a drawing of what kind of "special tool" is ??
I began the job with 3 forks plate key 14 mm but its not so easy
I'm sorry but it's my first M136 engine I had on my old hands !!
Thanks a lot
