Hose Clutch bearing replaced by Lubricator

Hello Everybody

I need your experience for my request.
On my 170S 1950th project , I'd ever dismantle all the central lubrication system.
I'd installed some lubricator for all the " front axle points needed" and that points could be greasing now manually.
But my question is for the clutch , how I can do afterI had dismantle the grease hose clutch bearing ,
I mean what I can put inside de new lubricator bearing : some grease ? oil , Or ? and also how ??

Hello Gentleman

After reading a lot and searching on our excellent forum, I found and get information for my modification....

I understand that some owners had replaced the 170 S clutch bearing by a 180 Ponton model witch is full life greased .
Ok perfect,

but did someone know the exact reference I had to order ?

Did I have to change only the bearing or also a full complete set .
Seems that the "fork sytem" is not the same between 180 and 170 models even the engine is the same (M136)
Did someone can help me on that issue ???

it is a closed system and does not need the external lubrication via the "Zentralschmierung"

Ok I'd just now ordering that bearing on Automobilia Versand shop with other items I'd forgetten last time ..

Just another question please , did you know if its possible to use some oil for example with "normal" lubricator (mean used normally for grease ) did I have a risk of leaking ? , in fact as I'd taking out all the original central lubrication system and replaced all by lubricators , i just want to know if I can use normal oil

Hello Marc,
for the central lubrication system you should use Hypoid 90 oil.

Ok for the Hypoid oil 90 . But just one point , can I use that oil on grease lubricator ? Can it leak ?

Just for closed that subject, I've installed the clutch bearing from Automobilia Versand Company used as a closed system ( Thank's Audax!!) , but I'd stay with a lubricator in case off..

you can leave the hole open, you do not need the lubricator pin.
